Shirley A. Wood, nee Small, age 82, of La Grange Park. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. Wood; fond mother of Deborah (Dave) Bark, Kenneth (Pam) Wood II, Michael (Tam) Wood and Susan (Lawrence) Kusch; dear grandmother of Donna (Daniel) Laboda, Tara (Sam) Hergott, Amy (Joe) Simonetti, Kendra (Tom) Cannarozzo, David (Katrina) Bark, Kenny (Kelly) Wood, Ryan Wood and Katy Kusch; great-grandmother of Samuel Simonetti, Michael Cannarozzo, Madeline Laboda, Ben Hergott, Ashley Laboda, Gianna Simonetti, KJ Wood, Matthew Hergott and Keegan Wood; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Shirley embraced life as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a steward of her church, Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Riverside. In her later years she lovingly tended to her mother and husband before their deaths. Shirley cherished her expanding family and dedicated herself to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Although her voice has been silenced the love in her heart continues to resound for all her family and friends to hear.
