Condolences

I'm very sorry for your loss. I saw Sean at the park almost every morning while walking my dog. He seemed to love being a grandpa.

My condolences and prayers go out to the entire Short clan. I am so saddened by this news. It has been decades but seems like only yesterday. R.I.P. "PUPS".

I met Sean over nine years ago and he was my go-to handy man! He has touched and worked on something in probably every room in my house. My kids called him Mr Short who’s not short! And he was definitely the dog whisperer with my crazy dogs! I loved seeing him pull up in my driveway in his blue minivan. He always did such great work and was such a nice, friendly person to have around. He was clearly loved by so many, as evidenced by the standing room only funeral today. Sean will be missed!

I just saw Sean Saturday night at "Music on Grand". He told me he was tired after performing at The Farmers Market for 4 hours - such a hot, humid day! Candy texted me Thursday. Karen Ann & I were shocked and in total disbelief! Sean has been a great friend & neighbor for over 25 years. We often called "Hollywood Handyman" to do several projects on our house. He'd bring his radio and always played the Blues as he worked. We talked music and met up at Blues Clubs. Sometimes Sean couldn't come over to work because he had a priority & good excuse: he was babysitting his grandchild or taking care of his son's dog & house. Sean was a dedicated family man who always put his family first. We will all miss your smile & spirit, Sean. Keep playing the Blues in Heaven, Hollywood Slim! To your beautiful wife, Candy & entire family: May God bless you and give you strength & healing. Peace in your lives and in your hearts. Love & Hugs, Toby Rhodes (Robert & Karen Ann Schramek) P.S. I am attaching a great photo of our nephew, Shawn Spera with Sean Short taken 7 years ago at the Czechoslovak American Congress festival in Ehlert Park, Brookfield.

I was blessed to have known Sean by our morning dog walks, by his handyman work on my house, by attending his blues performances at the Harlem lounge, and by his friendship. He added spice to this world! Jay

Sean Sean the Leprechaun ❤️☘️! We sat next to each other in grade school and I could still hear him say that! He was, and will always be one of the GREAT ones. He was an original! My deepest condolences to all the family! I will try and find some old pictures soon. I think I may still have some of his artwork! (Blackhawks logo etched in copper!) He had many talents.

I've had the wonderful experience of playing drums with Sean on several occasions. He was a great Blues Man that played with no frills and plenty of compassion. We took many bike rides and enjoyed nature. He'll be greatly missed. RIP Hollywood Slim.
