Bob and I were stationed on the USS Sylvania together. And as mentioned by Ken Michaels, he was a great friend. We had many adventures together and while we were away from our families at holidays, we shared them together. The crew who laughed, drank, danced and hung out together is gathering slowly up in heaven. Soon, we will be together to play another game of pool and see your smile again, brother! Love you forever, Doug.

Bob was a fellow sailor on the USS Sylvania with about 500 of us. Bob showed me what it means to be a great friend and how to be someone that you could trust your life with. We shared countless adventures together as young men. He was someone I was proud to have as a friend. I miss you already Freddy. Memories of the best of times will be how I will remember you. I knew Bob while we were at R.B. He was always very pleasant and kind. I have good memories of my interactions with him. Another wonderful person gone too soon. Please accept my sincere condolences to the family.

I am so sad to hear of Bob’s passing. We went to high school together. Haven’t seen him in many years, but talked occasionally on Facebook. I will always remember what a nice guy he was. So proud of his grandson. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
