Condolences
I just heard about this today on messenger because I just joined it July 2021. I am very sorry to hear about Ray’s passing, and want to give my condolences to his wife and family. I was Ray’s assistant at Dirksen for six years, and he was a great boss. He taught me a lot. I will always have fun memories of Ray, and my ears of Dirksen middle school.

My deepest sympathy to Joan and Jeff. Although is has been many years, I have many wonderful memories that I cherish. May God comfort your broken hearts. My mother was Judy Boros, Ray's secretary at Dirksen.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel for the Wielgos family. I will always remember the wonderful times we had through the years. He was a great man & a true friend. I’m sure you were greeted by many of Dist149 friends with open arms as you past.

My sincerest sympathies to the Wielgos family. I am shocked and saddened to hear that Ray has passed. Ray was my principal, my mentor, and my friend for many years. I can’t think of a man I admired more than Ray. The kindnesses that he bestowed on me, my family and all the DIRKSEN family will never be forgotten. I am so sorry that I am unable to attend his funeral! May he Rest In Peace. I know he is hearing the words, “Well done my faithful servant.” Servant.”

Ray had many friends in District 149, and I was privileged to be one of them. He was more than my administrator; he was my friend...and I'm sure many of us in the District can say that. He was also a great patriot. May your fond memories of him eventually overshadow the loss you now feel. RIP, Ray!

My sympathy to you all on Ray’s passing. He was a kind and genuine man who had the community’s best interests at heart. He was a good leader. I knew him best as a member of the SEASPAR Board where I worked for many years. His service was very much appreciated. Thank you for sharing him with all of us!

Ray was the driving force and chairman of the committee to build the La Grange Park Veterans Memorial. I will forever cherish his friendship and dedication to the veteran community. Thank you Ray for your friendship and guidance.
