Neal McQueeney

Neal Beaton McQueeney, 50, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on September 11, 2024. Neal was a fiercely devoted and loving husband and father. With Neal, you were a stranger but once. If you were in need of a friend, Neal would always be the first to answer the call. Although he was taken far too soon, he complained about nothing and was extraordinarily determined to live a full and rewarding life. He did just that until the very end.

He was an attorney, business owner, health care advocate, and entrepreneur. Neal was a tireless fighter on behalf of his legal clients and the patients he helped either at Midway Dispensary, Cresco Labs, or the numerous Veteran and charitable organizations with whom he worked over the years. If you knew Neal, and you needed some kind of help, he did everything he could for you with purpose and happily, wanting nothing in return.

Neal truly enjoyed reading, movies, games, a good meal, a fine Cabernet, or a cheap beer. He especially loved being with his friends and his family, always laughing while being the wittiest person in the room. But his greatest love was being with his wife Jill and children Fiona, Alex, and Lachlan. They were his everything.

Devoted husband of Jill McQueeney, nee Pawlowski; loving father of Fiona McQueeney, Alexandra McQueeney and Lachlan McQueeney and the late William McQueeney; dear son of Henry “John” McQueeney and Ann Marie “Nancy” Freeman; son in law of Judie Pawlowski and the late Roger Pawlowski;  brother of Ryan (Rebecca) McQueeney, Evan (Joelle) Beigel and Ethan (Melissa) Beigel; uncle of Payton, Jack and Cate McQueeney and Noah, Robin and Beau Beigel; beloved friend to many.

Visitation Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 1 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 9445 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.

Visitation Monday, September 16, 2024 from 10:30 A.M. to time of Mass 11 A.M. at Notre Dame Church, 64 Norfolk Ave, Clarendon Hills, IL 60514.

Interment Private.
