Condolences

Scott, I am so sorry for your loss. I took care of Nancy during her final days and I wanted to reach out to let you know how much it meant to me to care for her and you during this challenging time. You shared so much about Nancy that made her understand how much of a wonderful woman she was. I am so amazed with her volunteer work and other accomplishments that you have shared in your eulogy; however, it shouldn’t be so surprising since she was such as a remarkable woman as you have described her to me! I wanted to reach out and let you know I have continued to pray and think of you and the two cats during this time. Wishing you positivity, and a very happy new year! P.S. I hope you find the courage to go to Antarctica! I think Nancy would love for you to do that.

I am so sorry for your loss. And I’m sorry for all of us who knew Nancy. I only knew her at Loyola Center, but she made you feel like she was your bff!! I had a serious injury and her encouragement was SO SO appreciated. She raised my spirits whenever I saw her. Certainly a loss for us all. I’m blessed to have known her. God bless you and thank you for writing such a beautiful sentiment. I feel like I know her even better.

I am so very sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. She will be greatly missed. I volunteered with her at the Play Zoo and some special events. She would always cheer me on near the finish line of the Zoo Run Run. Her smile lit up the Play Zoo. She was there when I started volunteering in 2001, helping me feel welcomed and at ease. She is surely a bright smile in Heaven.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. I worked with her at Hinsdale Pediatrics and she was always kind and helpful. She remembered all her patients and they remembered her too! I had one mom tell me her daughter would play Dr. Moof & Nurse Nancy!! Wishing you peace.

I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. I worked with Nancy countless times over my 20 years at the zoo. My favorite memories are when we worked as "Santa's elves" during many Holiday Magic nights: she and I made a great team, always receiving compliments and thanks from Santa himself. I will definitely miss her in the Play Zoo and goat yard too, she was a pleasure to work with. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss. Nancy was one person I could always count on to be a docent/friend at the zoo. She always had a positive attitude, knew all the answers to the questions I had, and I think took time to be kind to Everyone. I will miss her being there, but as you say her spirit and example live on.
