Lowell always believed in the power of helping others. His generosity seen and felt by his family, his community and his church. His stories would always leave you with a new perspective on life or a laugh. His family meant everything to him, keeping photos, birthday and holiday cards that spanned decades. Lowell will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him but his memory will continue in our hearts.
Devoted father of Cori (Randy Dobbs) Maiers and Stephanie Maiers; devoted grandfather of Cain (Yahaira Cardoza) Maiers, Sydney (Daniel Miller) Maiers, Christopher Green and Benjamin Winter; great grandfather of Camila and Idalia Maiers and Ella Miller. Dear friend and former spouse of Mary Maiers, nee Weir; brother of Judy (Donald) Harvey, Mary Lou (Cornelius) Ryan and the late James (Nancy) Maiers; uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 W 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.
Funeral Friday, August 4, 2023. Mass 10 A.M. at St. Mary of Gostyn, 445 Prairie Avenue, Downers Grove, IL 60515.
Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
