Condolences

Praise God! that she ran the race faithfully and joyfully, and it was not in vain, for whom she was ardently waiting and doing all her service. And we are blessed that we were able to meet such an overcomer and be a witness for her beautiful life with Jesus. See you soon...

Greetings in Jesus' Name! Sis Kathy Nguyen will be greatly missed and her departure is a great loss for the Church. The Holy Bible says, "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord...saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them" (Rev 14:13). Sis Kathy's life was exemplary as a devout Christian. She was zealous for every good work from Jesus Christ. Some of these works include: praying for her family of whom she greatly loved, praying for the Church & for the unsaved people, using the gift of prophecy, ushering, Sunday School teacher, outreach & tract ministry, giving to the poor and the Church, and faithful in Church attendence. In addition she wrote several tracts and other literatures. She sent me her latest and final tracts for the glory of God (these were her own words) on Sept 3, 2019. Sis Kathy with all of her many works, always remained humble and joyful in spirit. Truly she continued to be fruitful in old age. Our prayers are with the family & the church family at this time. May God Bless!

Sister Kathy was a kind, sweet, and compassionate soul. God used my mom to share the gospel with her and she loved her Saviour with all her heart. She always treated me like a daughter, would hug me, hold my hand, and tell me she is praying for me. She would often bring me ginger candy at church or give some to my mom to give to me, even when I was grown and moved away. She was always so generous with her love and affection. She will be greatly missed, although we know she is now resting and rejoicing in the presence of her Savior whom she dearly loved. Our condolences and prayers go to the family at this very difficult time. God bless you all and grant you His comfort and peace. Sincerely, Lisa Henson and family

Indeed Sis. Kathy was such a sincere and passionate soul. Her love for Jesus and her concern for souls was unmistakably obvious to many. She expressed her burden for souls and desire to help them in whatever way she could. During my time there in Chicago Sis. Kathy was truly a blessing to the church. May the family find comfort in knowing that their mom faithfully lived the life of a true soldier of Christ.

I met Sis Kathy in 1991 at the New Testament Church in Chicago. She was a very loving, friendly, generous, humble sister in the Lord. I was blessed to spend a lot of time with Sis Kathy. She was my roommate many times at the Detroit Revivals and US conventions and in Ashland, Ohio, I observed Sis Kathy- being very serious in seeking the Lord. She attended night and morning prayers despite of her age and she was such an encouragement to me. For many years- Sis Kathy wrote and printed tracts and she always shared some copies to me which I was blessed to distribute to people in the stores and groceries. She had the desire to win souls for Jesus. Ever since I had known Sis Kathy, she always talked about Jesus to the saved and unsaved. I never asked Sis Kathy why she chose her email address as Kathybrightstar but now I realized that she wanted to shine bright for Jesus. Hallelujah! Praise God for the wonderful work that He had done in Sis Kathy's life. May the Lord comfort you all during this time of sorrow.

Dearest Trang, My deepest sympathy of your mom's death. I knew her almost for twenty years. In a way, I'm happy that she came to know the Lord in a wonderful way. Today she is with Jesus. She was a cheerful giver. She was a loving sister towards me. May you come to know Jesus who is the only comfort and strength. This is my wish and prayer for all the family members. Dear Family of Kathy Nguyen, Our heartfelt condolences at the passing of Kathy. We know her for about 35 years. She was pleasant, friendly and above all she loved Jesus with all her heart. Kathy lived a simple and beautiful life. She was a great example and she loved everyone sincerely. She has now passed on to the best and the most beautiful life in heaven with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ whom she loved dearly. Our christian hope is that we will meet her again when Jesus comes to gather all His people. May the Lord give peace and comfort to her children and their families, relatives and friends at this difficult time. Our prayers are with you all and may God be with you and bless you.

I was stationed in Chicago when Sis Kathy came to the church through Sis Mercy Philip. She was a radiant joyful soul who loved the Lord and the church. She was so vibrant and bubbled over with life and zeal. I remember how she first received the Holy Spirit after being stuck in an elevator for hours at work. We will miss her but the hope that we have to meet her again in God's presence gives great joy & expectation. May God console all the members of the family. Our prayers go up for you all. God be with you!

Kathy (Chi Phu) Nguyen was my wife’s first friend in America. We have been friends since 1973. Us and our children spent many days on weekends with her and her children. We would also visit at Christmas when our kids were young. We became good friends and remained that way until her death. She had pure unfiltered love for our Lord Jesus Christ and wasn’t afraid to spread the good news of Christ’s resurrection to all those who would listen and some who really didn’t care to listen. She felt that preaching God’s word was her mission! She is surely present with our Lord who she loves immensely! RIP Dear Friend. Condolences to children: Trang, Tuyen, Mark and Rodger.❤️
