Karol Franz Leonard

Karol Franz Leonard of LaGrange Highlands, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at the age of 88 years old. Karol was well known for his patience, compassionate hugs, firm handshake, quick wit and quiet strength. He was an Army Veteran and spent his professional career as a draftsman. Karol is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Wanda Leonard, nee Werner. He was the loving father of nine children; Elise (Brian) Kroll, Garrett (Tami) Leonard, Todd (Nikki) Leonard, Bryan (Melisa) Leonard, Kristen (Peter) Kehoe, Jason Leonard, Kari (Donny) Maske, Shawn (Karolina) Leonard and Kevin (Paige) Leonard; proud grandfather of 18; Kevin, Kyle, Colin, Tamryn, Garrison, Taylor, Teegan, Caleb, Myko, Jack, Eli, Charleigh, Kaiya, Landon, Alexandra, Sebastian, Parker and Vaughn. Karol was preceded in death by his parents, James and Willa Leonard; and brothers James, Theodore and Vaughn. He is survived by his sister, Bethoe (Richard) Monson and sister in law Grace Leonard; uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday November 5, 2025 from 10:30 A.M. to time of Service 11:00  A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.

Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien.
