Jerome was an Indiana University broadcasting graduate and worked for WSBT South Bend as a national sales manager where he also enjoyed broadcasting high school football and basketball games on radio as well as being one of the prevalent voices for Notre Dame basketball games on radio and television. After retiring from WSBT, Jerome was a marketing specialist with Memorial Home Health Care and enjoyed connecting with the community to share insights for improving care for the aging. Jerome was honored with the Katherine Schirm Volunteer of the Year award in 1999 and presented the Dedication Award in 2003 for his volunteer work with the American Cancer Society.
Jerome was an accomplished golfer and played well into his senior years. He will be remembered as a reliable, kind person; a dedicated father and husband; a diligent, ethical worker; a genuine listener; and a cherished friend to all who knew him.
At Jerome’s request his remains have been donated to science. Services and interment will be private.
