Gertrud Erna Beadle, nee Gartner

Gertrud Erna Beadle, nee Gartner, age 92 of La Grange Park. Beloved wife of the late Julius Brett Beadle; loving mother of Lawrence (Cheryl) Beadle, Michael Beadle and Carolyn (Michael) Ressl; beloved grandmother and great grandmother of many; sister of Wally Bohm and Ottmar Gartner. Gertrud came to this country as a young bride by troop transport from her home in Germany in 1948. She had a long career as an involved and devoted mother. She was also a longtime saleswoman at Hortons Home Furnishings of La Grange where she fostered many friendships. She was universally known for her kindness towards others and her ability to make those around her feel included, appreciated and loved. Gertrud was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, and a past member of the Gross School PTA, and the Brookfield Women’s Club.

Visitation Friday, September 21, 2018 from 10 A.M. to time of Service 11:30 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513.

Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park.
