Condolences
I worked with Gerald at Remax in LaGrange. He was a great man with a big sense of humor and fun. He will be missed.

Jerry-bhai was an integral member of our Peace Group, India X (the 10th group to go to India), located in Gujarat, India. 50 of us went into language-cultural-poultry training in Hilo, Hawaii, November 1964. By February 1965, 30+ of us were on our way to India. We worked as an integrated group, assisting each other and cheering each other on. Vashtye Ferguson and Georgia Grover ran an India X newsletter from their ashram, keeping us all informed. Since our return to the US, we have stayed in touch and have regular reunions. India X will miss Jerry-bhai as we gather again in September in Minnesota for our next reunion. Avjo (come again). Nancy-ben

David and I were “dear friends “ as Gerald liked to call us. We were next door neighbors in Bloomington and before he even got to know us, he lent us his car to drive someone to the airport. This was our first introduction to Gerald’s generosity and kindness. He was an important part of our lives and I am a lucky person that he was in my life.

Gerald was a double cousin to my mother Phyllis Fleetwood Sherrill (deceased). Two sisters married two brothers. So close childhood ties. When he would stop by our house, my sister and I would run thru the house announcing his arrival. We knew he would tell us about interesting things and places . When I became of college age, he would mentor me. Eventually living in my first apartment in Bloomington above Gerald and Janet. He was very dear to me.
