Condolences

My condolences to Beverly Paitl and Deditz families for your loss. I came to know and was befriended by Ed whom I called Bear, when we worked together at the Warrenville Data Center. We were brothers in arms having both served in Vietnam. Rest In Peace My Friend

To the Paitl and Deditz Families - I'm so very sorry about your loss. Please accept my condolences. Mr. Paitl was a very kind and good man. So many memories growing up across the street and having a fellow Sox fan nearby. Whether it was seeing each other on Morgan Avenue or at church, I always enjoyed chatting or a simple wave and "Hello." He will truly be missed.

I worked with Ed at the WECo Warrenville Data Center for many years. Although we lost touch since then I'm sad to hear of his passing. BTW, we affectionately nicknamed him Bear at the data center.

Bev so sorry for your loss. Ed was such a wonderful person. I will always remember talking with Ed at some of the St. Louise functions, when we realized that we both grew up in South Berwyn just a couple of blocks from each other. I am older, but we knew some of the same people in the neighborhood and the memories ….Including Villa Nova Pizza which was a block away from Ed house. I will miss seeing him at Mass, we always made eye contact when he was coming back from communion. May he Rest In Peace.✝️

I worked with Ed in the Western Electric/AT&T days. He was bigger than life and a rock of a man. So sorry for all our losses

I knew Ed from Morton West High School in Berwyn. Ill. We became friends and along with Vince Sudnik and Jim Sullivan we all were close buddies. Ed was always fun to be with...he kept us " in stitches". now early on Ed had a new car...one of the first 1966 Ford Mustangs fastbacks in yellow. Ed loved his car... I can still see him pulling up beeping the cars horn and wearing his white sports Fedora hat As time when on I lost touch with Ed and the others but my memories of Ed have lasted all my life...to quote an anonymous author---- “True friends are the ones who never leave your heart, even if they leave your life for a while. Even after years apart, you pick up with them right where you left off, and even if they pass they’re never gone in your heart” This how I feel about Ed... I will miss him.

We met while working at Tellabs and became immediate friends. He was such a good man and we always enjoyed each other's company. I know he's happy reunited with his son. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed. Love to you.
