We were so sorry for the loss of Ed he was a great addition to our service at Cedarlakes. We will miss him and please let Rose know that we will keep her in our prayers! I know his entrance to heaven was spectacular and he received many blessings from our Lord and Savior Jesus.

It was with deep sadness that I learned of Ed's death yesterday. But it is also with deep joy that I celebrate his entry into heaven and into the arms of Jesus, his Lord and Savior. Ed was a gentle man, a quiet man. At the same time he was a strong man, standing up for his principles, especially for his Christian principles. My family and I knew Ed through church and school activities. We attended the same church for decades, and our children attended the same school as well. For many years we carpooled our children to St. Paul's school, making intentional sacrifices to give our children a Christian Education. Ed and Rosemary were an amazing support to me and Bob as I was working on a master's degree that took me to Evanston many afternoons and evenings. Bob's pharmacy hours made it so that he would get off the train and head to the Wolf's house to gather his children. Often they were already fed with homework almost done! I often tell the story of renting an electric typewriter so that Rosemary could type my master's thesis! She and Ed were willing to do almost anything for us. My new husband, Bob Glasner, and I will be with all of you in spirit tomorrow as you celebrate your father's life and his faith in Jesus Christ. But I will be on the way to Michigan to celebrate my uncle's life and entry into heaven. Next week he will celebrate his 100th birthday with Jesus instead of with his earthly family. Rosemary, Dawn, Scott, Randy, and Allison, be assured that our prayers and thoughts of condolence are supporting you as if we were there with you. I speak also for my three children, Diane, Dan, and Lynelle. All of us have loving memories of you. Lynelle reminded me yesterday that you, Dawn, were her student teacher while she attended St. Paul Lutheran School. What amazing connections we all have. I know that Ed will receive a glorious send-off in your goodbyes tomorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God continue to bless each of you with his love and ever-present protection. With love, Shirley Morgenthaler and Bob Glasner
