Cassidy A. Fritsch

Its been almost four years and Kestrel still inspires me to live fully. I only knew her for the short time we lived together in the GreenHouse dorm, but even that short time was enough to see that she was an incredibly passionate, sensitive, and extremely kind person. I am still close with many people that I lived with on that dorm floor, and grieve the premature loss of that closeness with Kestrel. Just wanted to say that I remember her, and know that many others do as well.

I never met her, but as a freshman at UW Madison, I'm so sorry that Cassidy was never able to completely live out her dreams as a young college student who obviously had already made a significant mark on the world and those she knew. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family and friends.

Cassidy was a student in my Contemporary Chinese Society class this semester. As my teaching assistant Yue Du has written above, she was an excellent student in all aspects and it is a loss for everyone in the class. Please accept my deepest condolences. Thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Cassidy was a bassist in the orchestra I play in and also a member of my animal rights organization. I did not know her very well, but I can honestly say that she seemed like a very passionate, intelligent person. I regret the loss of someone who would have definitely changed our world for the better through her strong will and driving thirst for knowledge. My deepest condolences to her family and those who knew and loved her.

I met Kestrel the first week of classes at UW-Madison. She was such a brilliant, thoughtful, and talented individual, and I'm so happy that I had the change to meet her and get to know her. She made such a huge impact on me in just a few weeks... I'll miss her and her friendship.

Cassidy was a student in my discussion section of Contemporary Chinese society class. I was deeply impressed by her eagerness to knowledge and openness to another culture. I appreciated and cherished our talks, in which she shared your family experiences in China. She just got a full point in the mid-term and I would remember our little joke when she got her blue book, and her bright smile. All her classmates were shocked and saddened to hear the news. Kestrel was one of the GreenHouse residents that I had met when we visited the Leopold Shack. I was struck by how driven, thoughtful, and sweet Kestrel was. Her passing is a tremendous shock to me and I am deeply saddened but grateful that I had a chance to meet such a lovely girl. My thoughts and sincerest condolences to the entire family, Kestrel will be missed greatly.

Kestrel was a student in my German class at UW-Madison. Kestrel's classmates and I were all very shocked and saddened to hear of her death. As her instructor, I will miss having her in class and the opportunity to get to know her better, and I know that her classmates will miss her presence as well.
