Amy took dance classes with me and performed with my dance troupe for a while. I never met a kinder, more thoughtful and tactful person. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My sincerest condolences to her friends and family.

I had the gift of living with Amy for a year in Jupiter Florida. Surrounded by a bevy of dramatic attention-hungry theatre kids, she was a refreshingly grounding touchstone. I also loved those moments her wry, mischievous sense of humor would shine through. It is no wonder animals of all kinds loved her. She was so at peace in her own skin. My heart breaks for her family and her beloved animals who will miss her loving presence.

Amy has been a good friend, artistic, and thoughtful. She made masks to costumes. She has been very creative. She has had great conversations of period shows and historical events. We met over Gorillas and built a friendship from there. Miss you Amy Coons.

Amy was a beautiful person inside and out. I met Amy when she was 5 years old and my husband and I were dating. I have watched Amy grow up and admired all her talents from working at the zoo to sewing costumes and making masks of some of her primates at the zoo. She was adventurous and loved the outdoors and nature. She was a loving niece and we will miss her terribly. Amy, Rest In Peace.

I am so glad I got to meet and hang out with Amy over the years through the zoo world and gorillas. She was always so cheerful and smiling. Made all of around that much happier. As sad as this is, I will smile whenever I think of her.
