Obituary
Rosemary M. Moran (nee McLaughlin), late of Tinley Park and formerly of Riverdale, IL. Preceded in death by her loving husband John and daughter Geralyn. Beloved mother of Mary Jo Moran, Patric (Beverly) Moran, Kathryn and Kathleen Moran, Rosemary (Norbert) Vorst, Jeanine (Michael) Flick, Virginia (Kenneth) Brach, and Andrea (Harry) Hills. Proud grandmother of James, Barbara, Julie, Brian, Jenny, Kyle, Connor, Jenna, Justin, Stephen, Michael, Elyse and great grandmother of Liam and Colin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosemary was an avid reader of historical fiction and worked at the Dolton Library until she was 84. Once she retired, she made it her business to write notes to all of the shut-ins she knew which kept the postman busy. She was very involved and interested in the activities and travels of her children and grandchildren. She kept track of them via Facebook. She was a great Maj Jong player and could have competed in tournaments. Her interests were diverse…from tennis and Serena Williams to Animal Planet, Dancing with the Stars and Ninja Warriors. She also eagerly looked forward to the yearly running of the Derby where she placed winning bets almost every year. She was an extremely strong woman and a woman of great faith who set a very high bar for her children to meet. Angels and fairies were her friends. She faced health challenges with courage, grace, and trust in God and was ever gracious to her nurses and caregivers. She was greatly loved by all those who knew her and whose lives she touched. She died peacefully.
