Obituary
Lee Carole Bennett, age 83, sadly passed away in Brookfield, Illinois leaving behind her children, Terri Stewart, Alanna Schwartz and Linn Stewart who predeceased her, her grandchildren, Nichole Kukla, Shawn Kukla and Cody Strocchio and her great grandchildren, Brandon James Taylor, Jr. and Henry Strocchio. Mom was highly intelligent with a great sense of humor. Strong, independent, charitable and kind. A very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She embraced and helped many people. She loved her family unconditionally, had a heart of gold and it showed to everyone around her.
During her life, she had many passions. She loved the theater and football, books and especially loved to travel and go adventure seeking. She shared this passion with her family, going on amazing trips together, mostly including camping, kayaking, scuba diving, canoeing and hiking, which she passed on to her children and grandchildren.
She had a very kind heart and often shared her generosity with others. She had an infectious laugh and enjoyed an amazing sense of humor, never one to shy away from speaking her mind in a playful manner. She loved to dance and spontaneously would grab the nearest body to twirl around with. She was gifted at the piano, loved old-school square dancing and playing and spending hours in her gardens. She even became a candlemaker at one point.
The most important part of our beloved mother’s life was that she was very much adored and treasured, and we all know she adored and treasured each and every one of us. May her spirit thrive and flourish like her big, bold and beautiful gardens!!
Please join us in a memorial service to celebrate her life, relive her memory and share all the laughter and warmth she instilled in all of us. The memorial will be held at Holy Covenant MCC, the specific date and time to follow.
