Deborah Lynette Weathersby

Obituary

Deborah Lynette Weathersby was born in Jackson, MS on December 22, 1959 to Charles Stevens and Olevia M. Funchess-Williams. Deborah accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Pastor L.L. Williams of Nazareth Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. At a young age, Deborah moved to Chicago with her Mom and older brothers, she attended Sbarbaro Elementary School and Christian Fenger Academy High School on the city’s South Side. Deborah held various positions in retail, culinary, and hospitality. The latter gave her the opportunity to be herself the most at work. At taverns, lodges, and yacht clubs, she’d work, smoke her Virginia Slims Menthol 120’s (Specifically), serve drinks while having drinks, and enjoy the night life! Deborah would often invite family and friends to visit and hangout with her while she worked. She truly loved being the life of the party, especially with family and friends! After 3 strokes contributing to a slow decline of health, Deborah departed peacefully in her sleep May 20, 2023 at the age of 63. Deborah leaves to cherish her memories, her Stepfather: Frank J. Williams; Brothers: Tony L. Weathersby, Dwight Weathersby, Frank L. Williams (Maria Galvez), aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
