Obituary
Robert “Bob” Evans, one of the nicest humans you knew, of Brookfield, formerly of Riverside, passed away peacefully, comforted by the knowledge that he touched so many lives and was deeply loved by all who knew him.
His children—Eric, Ryan, and Anna—were blessed to love and be loved by his gentle spirit, learning life lessons from him that will stay with them forever.
He conquered the odds of a teenage marriage with the love of his life Peggy, whom he doted over for 53 years. Their love story was one to be envied, and Bob’s love for her was endless.
He was immensely proud of his sister, Linda (Tom), who survived growing up with her little "hell-raiser" brother, Bobby, built a life all her own, and raised his loving nephew and niece, Tommy and Thera.
His in-laws, Vickie, Meaghan, and Fletcher, saw Bob as a second father. He welcomed them into his family with open arms and cared for them as if they were his own.
Bob’s ten grandchildren—Tyler, Matthew, Nora Mac, Ella, Quinnie, Reese, Eloise, Millie Rose, Iggy, and Oliver—were the great benefactors of his boundless love and generosity. He dedicated his retirement to caring for them, sharing life lessons, and hosting the best pool parties.
Hard-working, curious, and generous, Bob loved his family, his home, his gardens, and an honest day’s work. He found true happiness in working and sharing his passion for it.
His legacy lives on through the way he lived his life: caring for others, giving selflessly to improve the lives of those around him, and being kind to everyone he met.
In lieu of flowers or donations, please honor Bob’s memory by striving to make the world a better place, just as he always did.
In keeping with his wishes, Bob’s family will be hosting a joyous celebration of his life in early November at a local venue. They look forward to gathering with friends and loved ones to honor his memory and share in the stories of his remarkable life. Further details will be provided in the coming days.
