Arlene A. Fencl, nee Jecmen, age 88, of Tinley Park, formerly of California and LaGrange Park.  Beloved wife of the late Thomas L. Fencl.  Loving mother of Kim (Steve) Rak, Laura Newer and John Fencl; devoted grandmother of 7; great grandmother of 3; dear sister of the late Dorothy (the late Stanley) Skladzien.  Arlene was the Principal of St. Louise de Marillac School for over 15 years.   A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield, IL  60513.

Current Covid regulations allow for a maximum of 50 people in the funeral home at a time. Face coverings are required, the lounge facilities are closed, outside food or beverages are not allowed at this time.  All are asked to pay their respects/condolences to the Fencl family, please be cognitive of others waiting to do the same.

Funeral Mass Saturday 10:30 A.M. Holy Guardian Angels Parish, St. Louise de Marillac Church, Corner of 30th and Raymond, LaGrange Park.

Please pre-register to confirm your attendance. Sign up will close on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 3 P.M. Walk-ins will be welcome on a space limited basis.

Interment Private Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.

    To the family of Mrs. Fencl, Please accept my condolences. I was student at St. Louise and she was my science teacher. She became principal the year after I graduated. My mother, Carol, was a fixture at the school as well, long after I left. Mrs. Fencl was always very kind to her and myself. There are teachers you never forget, no matter how old you get and she was one of them. May God be with you during this time.
